Practical Application
Every concept we teach connects directly to real financial decisions. Students leave each session with actionable skills they can implement immediately.
Building financial confidence across generations
Ridge-kudu was founded in 2018 with a straightforward mission: make financial education accessible, practical, and relevant to everyday life. Too many people finish formal education without understanding how to manage money effectively—we set out to change that.
Our founders, a team of financial professionals and educators, recognised that traditional approaches to teaching finance often failed to connect with real-world situations. Textbook theory rarely translates into confident decision-making at the kitchen table or in the boardroom.
What began as evening workshops in a rented community space has grown into a comprehensive curriculum serving learners from age eight to eighty. Our Clerkenwell location now hosts over forty classes each month, while our partnerships with schools and businesses extend our reach throughout Greater London.

Financial literacy belongs to everyone. We design programmes that meet people where they are, regardless of their starting point or background.
Quick fixes rarely work with money. Our teaching emphasises sustainable habits and strategies that compound over years and decades.
We present financial concepts without jargon or hype. Clear understanding leads to confident decisions—and confident decisions lead to better outcomes.
Experienced educators passionate about financial empowerment
Former investment banker turned educator. Marcus spent fifteen years in the City before dedicating himself to financial literacy advocacy.
With a background in secondary education and child psychology, Eleanor designs engaging curricula that make finance relatable for young learners.
Chartered accountant and certified financial planner with particular expertise in small business finance and self-employment.
Traditional financial education often fails because it treats money as purely mathematical. We take a different view: financial decisions are deeply personal, influenced by emotions, family history, and individual circumstances.
Our courses blend practical tools with behavioural insights. We explore not just how to budget, but why budgets fail. Not just how compound interest works, but how to stay motivated when progress feels slow.
Small class sizes allow instructors to address individual questions and adapt examples to participants' real situations. Homework assignments involve actual bank statements and spending patterns, not hypothetical scenarios.
